For those who think teaching science is easy ….–abc-news-topstories.html

A new law in North Carolina will ban the state from basing coastal policies on the latest scientific predictions of how much the sea level will rise, prompting environmentalists to accuse the state of disrespecting climate science … Democratic Gov. Bev Perdue had until Thursday to act on the bill known as House Bill 819, but she decided to let it become law by doing nothing.

I have no words for this level of nonsense.  I can only assume that they will be basing their coastal policies by consulting a tarot card reader.

That wouldn’t necessarily be too bad: there is a fair chance that even said tarot card reader would be smarter than these legislators.

At least a 50-50 chance of getting it right vs. some random politician guessing at what to do. Yep … tarot cards would be better here.

IMHO–Then they deserve what they get… Sad.

The only problem is … if the state follows this course for a while, and sustains serious damage to its coast line … that means more tzx payer money to fix it after the fact, which I will bet is going to be more expensive than doing something about it sooner.
