Relativistic baseball

While I have long enjoyed mixing physics and baseball (and the literature on the subject of the physics of baseball is enormous), I have never seen this before.

What if one could throw a baseball at a highly relativistic speed …

“I sat down with some physics books, a Nolan Ryan action figure, and a bunch of videotapes of nuclear tests and tried to sort it all out…” LOL
I also enjoyed the cartoon drawings of the “unsuspecting batter”.

Further, I am temporarily very proud of you for not recommending this experiment be conducted at Wrigley 😉

    That website is quite unique…

But if it were done at Wrigley Field … wouldn’t the living Cubs fans envy those who don’t have to sit through another season of what passes for Cubs baseball?
