At 11:01 PM Central Time, Juan Uribe fields a high chopper off the bat of Orlando Palmiero, throws to Paul Konerko, and the Chicago White Sox defeat the Houston Astros, 1-0, in Game 4, winning the 2005 World Series. This ends the 88 year wait for the Sox to win a World Series, dating to 1917. Jermaine Dye’s RBI single with two outs in the top of the 8th inning scores Willie Harris for the lone run of the game.
